This has been set up to help track and identifiy information about scout groups within Elizabeth since Elizabeth was first established in 1955
Initally set up to track my progress for a TAFE subject - "Write History For Publication", done in Semester One 2011. The information that I gained for the assignment only just scratched the surface. I have now taken this on as a bigger project. Information will be gained by:
1) interviews - face to face, via phone, however people wish to do it
2) via photos and documents such as minuates of meetings, articles of activities
As a former Guide, I appreciate that Guiding also played a role within Elizabeth History. HOWEVER, I have had to choice to focus on one section of Elizabeth's history to make it manageable and to give it the attention it deserves.
This is not to say that someone who wishes to write about the history of Guide Groups in Elizabeth is prevented from doing so. In fact, I would ENCOURAGE them to do so.
